How long is a belly dance show and what is included?IMG_5069webedit

Standard belly dance show:  20-30 minutes. The dancer typically performs with finger cymbals, and will do several dances with different props such as silk veils, sword, cane, Isis wings, candle tray, fan veils and shamadan. (All fire props have the option of being performed with flameless candles.)

Lesson / show combo:  1 hour. A 10-minute belly dance performance with the dancer in full costume is followed by a fun belly dance lesson for guests. This is a popular activity for ladies having a “girls night out” although mixed parties can also have a blast learning to belly dance together. Coin hip scarves are provided on loan for the party guests so everyone can feel like a belly dancer for an evening!

Bellygram:  10 minutes. A quick, two-song performance perfect for livening up a special occasion (birthday, retirement, etc.). Includes an entrance song and one prop dance.

Will you bring music?

The dancer will bring music on iPod with attachment cables, normally to be played on the venue’s sound system. The dancer can also bring a small speaker system in case the venue does not have a sound system.

Music can range from classical Arabic to modern pop, as well as Turkish, Greek and Persian favorites.

Is the show family-friendly?

Yes, the belly dance performance is suitable for a family audience, and is especially popular with children. Kids are often the first to join in during the audience participation part of the show!

What is the cost & how do I book?

Standard belly dance show: $200* / Lesson & show: $275 / Bellygram: $175 / Wedding: $300   *Restaurants with regular weekly or monthly performances qualify for discount rate

Longer shows, multiple sets with costume changes, travel outside the D/FW metro area,  and other variables will influence the exact price quoted. To discuss the details of your special event and get a quote, please send a message to dallasbellydancer@gmail.com.
